It shall be unlawful for a driver of any vehicle within the city limits to use or operate any mechanical exhaust device, commonly referred to as “jake brake”, designed to aid in the stopping or breaking of said vehicle when the use or operation of said device creates excessive, loud, unusual or explosive noise.

A person convicted of this article shall be punished by a fine in the amount of $50.00.
